Mission and Vision

EASTADO’S MISSION

In December 2005, a group of open minded and visionary friends founded what is  formerly known as Gedo Education Development Organization (G.E.D.O), but in 2008 changed it’s name to the East African Development Organization (EASTADO.)

The East African Development Organization (EASTADO) is an international, not-for-profit that picked up areas for social change, with priority for education.

The EASTADO offers programs to uncover the strength, peace, and joy that lie at the core of every human being. The Organization seeks to help the people of East Africa through different ways such as – education, sustainable peace, free of stress & violence.

EASTADO believes in building partnerships and networking with like minded people and organizations to enlarge the impact and sustain the educational process of the East African origin society throughout the North America, Europe and East African regions.

We also engage parents and others in the community through adult skill development programs such as organic farming, sewing and crafts, reading, mediation and other practices, all of which strengthen and uplift the socio-economics of the child’s community.

EASTADO invests in the potential of individuals through advocacy, supporting families and promoting Education.

The Agency has been a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational and humanitarian organization in the U.S. since 2009.

Vision

To build partnerships &  networking with like minded people and organizations to enlarge the impact and sustain the educational process in the East African origins throughout the North America, Europe and East Africa in particular South Western regions of Somalia.
